Things to do.
Winter Park has no shortage of things to do and see! Whether you’re just in town for the weekend or are extending your stay, here are some of our favorite places and things to do in the area.
Restaurants
Lime Cantina - Our favorite place to get a margarita. Be careful - the margs are strong!
Idlewild Spirits - Local distillery with great drinks and food. You’ll want to take a bottle of their liquor home!
Big Trout Brewery - Great patio to enjoy locally brewed beers.
Fraser Valley Hot Dog - Some of the best hot dogs you’ll ever eat! Patio seating only.
Gravity Haus - Coffee in the morning and happy hour in the evening. The best of both worlds.
Bake Haus 232 - Famous for their cinnamon rolls!
Elevation Pizza - If you go, the Atom Bomb is a must.
Fraser River Beer Co - Another great local brewery!
Activities
Winter Park Resort has lots to do - the Alpine Slide, put-put golf, shopping and more! Purchase a Gondola ticket and make your way to 10,700 ft above sea level. Sunspot sits just at the top of the Gondola and includes a restaurant, bar and beautiful views of the Continental Divide and the valley. On Friday and Saturday, the Gondola runs from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. and tickets can be purchased for $29.
Shopping at Cooper Creek Square in downtown Winter Park. Make sure to check out their events.
Movie and bowling at The Foundry.
Gym, work out classes and the pool at the Fraser Rec Center. Day passes are available.
There are hikes in the area for all fitness levels. Check out All Trails and the resorts hiking guide for hikes near you. The Fraser River Trail is mostly flat, paved trail that runs all the way from Fraser to the resort but you can join the trail at any point along the way, making it perfect for those looking for a walk of any length!
There several parks throughout town for those with kids. Check out Hideaway Park (downtown with playground and skate park), Wolf Park (playground and tennis/pickle-ball courts), and Idlewild Park (all abilities playground).
